Curvillusion is a fashion collection that combines plus size with the art movement Op art  

My fashion collection is going to enhance body shape through optical illusion.

Op art is the short form for the art movement known as optical art, Time magazine described Op art as “Pictures That Attack the Eye” in October 1964.the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan created an exhibition of Op art in 1965 that boasted 123 paintings and sculptures from 100 artists of 15 nations .The optical art movement has been especially common in American art since the1960s, but the style really traces back to the year 1839, Optical art is concerned with creating optical illusions. I chose optical illusion for plus sizes, plus size fashion is not popular in Egypt. Many plus size women suffer from not finding the right sizes.

Plus size finding clothes in Egypt for plus size women is not so simple as it looks. Compared to other women, here in Egypt Does not focus on this category, although there are a huge number of plus size women. In Pre History times Plus size woman was symbol of beauty and was a symbol of pride and prestige has been the role models and ideal.

Aims Made wide Variety of Design. Designing clothes fit the body and hide flaws body and make plus sizes Loves their bodies through the use of Optical art. Designing clothes express themselves. Optical illusion was used for plus sizes in many designs. It creates an illusion around the figure of the body giving it the sense of being curvy. Used op art as a print on fabrics or cuts. And take into account the Assets and pitfalls of every body shape of plus sizes such as pear shape –hourglass-apple-rectangle. Finally all I want that would not be disaggregated or different just because I am plus size woman.

Through my Process of creating the fashion collection, I started with searching and study the trend 2016/2017 then I Assemble all picture related to my graduation from optical illusion drawing and fashion show either for plus size or not. I Work on black and white colors to make illusion in background with plus size model to give the mood of the topic. Then I choose Artist from op art movement to get inspired from her artwork ( Bridget Riely ) ­­­(1931) is a well-known British artist celebrated since the mid-1960s for her distinctive, her studies were centered round life drawing and she worked mostly in black and white.
